Harley-Davidson Electric Motorcycle

Harley-Davidson has unveiled a prototype of an electric motorcycle codenamed Project LiveWire and set off on a 30-city U.S. tour to show off the electric motorcycle and get feedback from customers.

LiveWire is powered by a 55-kw electric motor that produces 75 hp. Mix that with its 52 lb.-ft. of instant torque and it’ll hit 60 mph in under 4┬áseconds. Regen braking on the rear captures electricity to recharge the battery during deceleration, with total range topping out at around 53 miles.

Harley-Davidson released a video teaser for the new bike this week.
