New E-Bike Goes Live On Indiegogo

Urb-E Scooter

An e-bike, created by Grant Delgatty, raised quite a stir at the 2014 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas last month. The e-bike has just launched on crowdfunding web Indiegogo for purpose of raising US$150,000 in 40 days.

The e-bike, named the Urb-E, is made from machined recyclable aircraft-grade aluminium and the weight is only about 13kg. The bike aims to provides the right balance between functionality and portability.

Able to fold up into an upright position, the Urb-E scooter allows the user to bring their scooter with them, regardless of where they might find themselves be it on a subway or an elevator.

The Urb-E scooter comes in a variety of dazzling colors, has a driving range of 32km per charge, with one charge lasting about three hours. It also comes with a whole range of features, including color sleeve inserts, charger, LED front and rear lights, universal smartphone holder, USB charging port, shock-absorbing comfort seat and a custom Urb-E app download.
