Surface 604 Unleashes The Element Wide Grip Electric Fat Bike

Electric Fat Bike

Fat bikes have gained popularity among bicycle enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers during the past months. Google Trends reports interest in “fat bikes” doubled in the 12 months to January 2014.

Surface 604, founded in Vancouver, has launched their new Element Wide Grip electric fat bike with an awe-inspiring bike frame, wide-grip tires and a sleek lithium-ion power source at the back.

A 36-volt lithium-ion battery powers the motor, providing assistance for up to 20 miles (32 kilometers) and enabling you to hit a speed of 20 mph (32 km/h). Charge the 8.5-lb (3.9-kg) battery for 6-8 hours to gain full power for your next adventure, or leave it at home if you want to travel light.

If you ride the Element all-terrain bike without its battery, the six-speed Shimano gear system can still help you conquer hills. And the rack gives you storage spaceĀ for the gear on your rides.

According to Surface 604’s founder and COO, John Dem, the inspiration for an electric powered fat bike came from the beautiful natural surroundings of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Surface 604 Element Wide Grip electric fat bikes are now available on the newly launched, visually stunning e-commerce website from where riders can find it easy to connect to others and share their thrilling experiences on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram.
